It was a rainy day in Atlanta, but that didn’t stop Kid Cudi and Chip Tha Ripper from putting on an unforgettable show at the Verizon Wireless Ampitheatre. Our very own Tristan Ervin was on hand to photograph the concert, providing excellent photos.
By the start of the show, not one seat in the venue was left empty and as the show progressed, concert goers were lured further and further into perhaps one of the greatest concerts Atlanta has ever seen.
Cudi performed most of his fan favorites, including “Up Up and Away”, “REVOFEV”, “Erase Me”,
and even surprised fans performing a cover of “Hey Joe” by Jimi Hendrix, and Kanye West’s “All of the Lights”. Fans everywhere were dancing, screaming, and singing every word of every song the Kid performed. You could almost feel the electricity in the Ampitheatre the entire night.
Near the end of his set, the Man on the Moon took a moment to show his appreciation for all his fans and supporters in a brief speech:
“I am you, and you all are me. I’m just like everyone of you out here. We’re all the same, we all have our problems, and we all make our mistakes, but at the end of the day we learn from them. I’m just hear to give you all music to make your days easier.”
If you weren’t at this show, you definitely missed out, but hopefully The Cudder will be right back in the A before we know it!
